Renowned Nashville drummer Rich Redmond is taking a break from touring the nation to present one of his high-energy CRASH Course for Success clinics at New Mexico State University’s Atkinson Recital Hall on Friday, September 25, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
This unique, one-of-a-kind event is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by Hubbard’s Music and the NMSU Music Business program.
With over 18 years of stage and studio experience, Redmond has become one of the most respected and in-demand drummers in the music industry today. He has performed around the world with such superstar acts as Jason Aldean, Ludacris, Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, Bob Seger, Joe Perry, Jewel, Alabama, and many more.
Rich has played on 20 number-one hits, sold more than 20 million downloads, recorded multiple platinum records, and performed live for more than 2,000,000 people each year. More recently his signature drumming can be witnessed in sold-out stadium shows with Jason Aldean and heard on a string of hits for artists such as Thompson Square. He is a highly sought-after motivational speaker and educator with a Master’s degree in Music Education.
“CRASH” is an acronym that stands for Commitment Relationships Attitude Skill Hunger. Redmond has used these proven ideas over decades to navigate the music business. Using the CRASH philosophy, he presents customized parallels between his own musical journey and his audience’s pursuit for success, whether they be in an elementary school, university, or corporate atmospheres.
Redmond also presents how to maintain an unwavering commitment to one’s self and customers, how to hone and develop lasting relationships, maintain a positive attitude, gain crucial skillsets, and fan the flames of success.
Humorous stories and passionate drumming examples are used to drive home the points. Audience participation and interaction is also abundant. This makes for an incredibly fun, informative, and life-changing event.
“My CRASH philosophy can be used by anyone from any walk of life to attract more success to their lives,” Redmond says. “The key is maintaining a commitment to one’s passion, honoring and cultivating positive relationships, taking life head-on with a winning attitude, honing necessary skillsets while developing new ones, and always fueling the flames of hunger that burn deep within our bellies. That’s the key to living a CRASH life and reaping the rewards both personally and professionally.”
